SportsBlast Launches Hot Animated Race Predictions
“Voice of Bart Simpson” brings heat and humor to NASCAR

LOS ANGELES – July 13, 2007

Haley Johnson, the latest character in the SportsBlast franchise, made her debut live on the Nextel Vision Board at Daytona Speedway before the Pepsi 400 on July 7 and on www.sportsblast.com. Haley’s SportsScopes is the newest series under the SportsBlast banner. The SportsScopes ™ franchise delivers topical branded entertainment to the various professional sports leagues combining a fan’s love of the game and a desire to know the future with horoscopes to create a funny and provocative take on who will win or lose. The vision for Haley is to go even farther and have her also contribute as a color commentator or “reporter” for programming and events that go beyond sports. Several sponsorship offers are being entertained for SportsScopes programming.

SportsBlast, LLC, the production company founded by Nancy Cartwright, the iconic voice of Bart Simpson, has become known for its innovative animated content for the Internet and traditional media. The company just completed a seven show run of the Brenda’s RaceScopes segment which aired in the FOX KTVU show Trackside at Infineon Raceway. Also to the company’s credit is The Kellys, www.teamkellyracing.com, a sports-driven series, developed and distributed in partnership with Turner Sports Interactive and Nascar.com, that has been enjoying success online for five years.

Haley is brought to life by voice-acting-superstar Kath Soucie (The Replacements, Pirates of the Caribbean: World’s End, Curious George, Futurama, Kim Possible, etc.) and produced by Nancy Cartwright. Haley promises to be wildly entertaining. “We’ve streamlined our production line until we can deliver these fully animated shorts in just a couple days,” said Cartwright. “We have to span the world to pull this off, from my personal audio studio for the recording, to animation on the other side of the world.”

“Haley,” said series producer Peter Kjenaas, “is hotter than any girl you’ve ever dated and she knows more about sports than you do.” She follows in Brenda’s footsteps in that she makes predictions on various events based on the horoscopes of those involved. Also like Brenda, Haley has an uncanny knack for predicting the performance of athletes or teams, or even the outcome of certain events. She looks at who’s up and who’s down, and comes up with the week’s winners and losers. Sometimes she picks them and sometimes she doesn’t, but it’s all in good fun.
