Clothier Manuel on Board with Keith Coleman Racing in Texas

Eddyville, Ky. – 04/05/2006 – Chris Wimmer and his Keith Coleman Racing teammates head to Forth Worth, Texas this weekend for the O’Reilly 300 at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Keith Coleman Racing will have clothier Manuel on the quarter panels of the #23 Chevrolet while in the Lone Star State. Manuel, the well-loved cowboy clothier to the stars, has been responsible for the “Man in Black’s” black suits, as well as celebrities such as George Jones, Dolly Parton, Travis Tritt, Kenny Chesney, and Keith Urban. His talent reaches well past the country music territory and into the Hollywood lights. He has dressed Burt Reynolds, John Travolta, Bob Dylan, and John Lennon. He is credited with putting the skull and crossbones on the Grateful Dead and designing the Rolling Stones’ tongue logo. Manuel Exclusive’s Corporate Office is located in Dallas, Texas. Manuel Exclusive also has showrooms in New York City and Denver, Col., with its design office located in Nashville, Tenn. Wimmer has one previous start at the Texas Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. In 2004, Wimmer qualified the truck 36th. Working diligently, Wimmer and his team brought the truck home in the 27th place, exiting the race early after overheating. This will be Wimmer’s second visit to the Speedway with the NASCAR Busch Series and his Keith Coleman Racing team. The November 2005 race was Wimmer’s first event with the KCR team.

“Texas is a really cool track. It reminds me a lot of Atlanta,” said Wimmer. “As a track, it is one that really awes me. It is really neat to stand down in the infield and look around at the stands and everything.”

When asked about the #23 Chevrolet that the team is bringing to TMS, Wimmer replied, “We’re taking a new car, an ‘06. So, it’ll be interesting to see how it reacts, how it drives. Practice will be key on Thursday to really shake it out.”

Busch practice begins Thursday afternoon from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m., with Rookie Practice from 1:30-2:00 p.m. The one-hour final practice session takes place immediately following Rookie Practice from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Qualifying for the O’Reilly 300 will take place at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, April 6. The O’Reilly 300 at the Texas Motor Speedway will be televised LIVE, Saturday, April 8 at 3:00 p.m. on Fox. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) and XM Satellite Radio will also carry the race broadcast live. All times are EASTERN.
